Goose Billerbeck

During the month of June, the whole town of Billerbeck is involved with the legend of the goose "St. Ludgerus". The event is named "Gans (Goose)Billerbeck " .
Every year's particular highlight is the single file with living geese starting at the cathedral and ending at the Johanni church. At the church square the feathered animals will be shown in an enclosure, parallel a small animal market takes place. Members of the open air theater will play the "Ludgerus-legend" at the cathedral square.
Furthermore traditional handicrafts will be presented and one can buy regional products. The retailers will open their stores from 1 pm to 6 pm.
